XMission Personal Staff Colo Servers

I have an overall set of rough ideas from IT, Computer Science, and Mathematics that I would like to examine and test, with access to computer hardware with space and bandwidth.

Physical Servers

Hardware was inherited from previous job to keep and maintain backups. Originally I was shifting backups all around while testing new things on hardware constantly but have settled the installs and hypervisor.

Soldier04

Hardware
  • Motherboard Supermicro X9SCM-F
  • CPU Intel Xeon E31220
  • Ram 16GB ECC Unbuffered
  • HBA LSI SAS 9211-8i
  • 4 x 2TB Sata "Green" HDDs
  • 60GB Intel Sata SSD
  • 120GB Intel Sata SSD
Sofware
  • Solaris 11.2 Hosting
  • Inwest Backups

Soldier05

Hardware
  • Motherboard Supermicro X9SCM-F
  • CPU Intel Xeon E31220

Functions->Services

This is currently how I have the functions I would like it to serve divided and grouped, or how I like to colorfully put it: Precipitated into this set containment hierarchy to test various functions and ideas.

VM Hypervisor

After testing many hypervisors I am currently settled on SmartOS running on soldier06.
